Privilege Catamaran Designers

Since the first of theses luxury catamarans was launched in France in 1985, Privilege catamarans have been primarily about comfort and luxury afloat, as well as the closely related goal of safe and no-fuss handling. Privilege catamarans have had a very consistent track record, with most models enjoying an enduring success.

The Privilege catamaran range has few peers in terms of quality, comfort and performance. More than 300 design personnel have contributed to the elegant French cruising catamaran designs - a testament to the care put into the production process.

The original Privilege catamaran models were designed by Jeantot Marine, founded by René Bernard and Philippe Jeantot in 1985.

In 1996 Jeantot Marine was sold to La Groupe SGGR. Subsequently Alliaura Marine was formed, which continues to develop the Privilege catamaran line, working with different designers, most notably with Marc Lombard.

Privilege Catamaran General Overview

Upon entering a Privilege catamaran expect to be greeted with a spacious, high-finished design using the finest woods and leathers. Fine carpentry below decks is matched with splendid teak cockpits which open up to large transoms offering easy access to the water.

The deck fittings are functional, reliable with an emphasis on safety and ease of use. Expect smooth, consistent sailing and tight handling. Above all, expect decadent luxury, unmatched comfort and pleasing lines.

Privileges have a trademark central pod which substantially extends the internal volume, giving Privilege staterooms the edge in spaciousness. The central pod also allows the designers more flexibility to offer alternative cabin layouts. The yacht itself sits higher in the water than most of its peers.

Privilege catamarans are among the most desirable yachts for crewed charter vacations. Their superior finish, modern amenities, equal studio-style cabin layouts, ample headroom and overall volume makes the Privilege catamaran the yacht to beat for many experienced charter guests and crew alike.
